Trip to Amish Country and Cleveland
We are planning a trip to the Ohio Amish area (Berlin, Ohio) and would like to know of a nice place to stay and what sites to see. We will follow-up with a trip to Cleveland and would like some help in planning our stay.

We have stayed at the Inn at Honey Run in the Berlin Area (don't actually know if it is Berlin or Millersburg or where) and we loved it. It was centrally loacted for us to totally tour the whole area. We have been back several times and have enjoyed it each time. There are also some other motels in the area but unfortunately we have not stayed at them and don't know the names. I think you can find Inn at Honey Run if you look it up on google. Have fun!!

I second the Inn at Honey Run. Here is their web site:

The Cleveland Art Museum is good as are the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, you can also go to the top of the Terminal Tower for a view of Cleveland or take a ride on the Goodtime boat that cruises the river and the lake.

We love to go to the Amish country in Ohio. We've stayed at many nice places. There are lots of motels, cabins, and bed & breakfasts in the area. We've stayed at the Carlisle Village Inn, Gileads B&B, Main Street B&B, and Carriage House Inn, just to name a few. You may want to visit the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce website at www.visitamishcountry.com to get an idea for lodging & attractions. We like to visit Heini's and buy cheeses. We've purchased quite of bit of wonderful handmade solid wood furniture for our home. One bit of advice - book early, sometimes the lodging fills up fast.
