Steakhouse between S.F. and San Jose.

It's time for another steakhouse outing. We live in Palo Alto. We've been to Izzy's and Sundance Mining Company. Prefer something not in San Francisco. Any ideas? Thanks.

Isn't there one on El Camino in Menlo Park - on the right side of the street?

Yes, that would be Henry's Prime. We've not been there, but the couple that we do this with have been there, so I'm trying to find a place that neither of us have been to. Thanks cabo.

iamq,
I lived in Palo Alto for 14 years and my husband is a native Palo Altan so I had to post just to say hello. We've been gone for 10 years and we miss it so much!!

As for steakhouses, I assume you know MacArthur Park? I have many fond memories of special dinners there...birthdays, 8th grade graduation, high school Homecoming...I hope their BBQ ribs are still as good as they used to be!

hausfrau,

I understand missing the area as I grew up here too, moved to the East Bay for about 10 years and then moved back here 10 years ago.

Thanks for the McArthur Park suggestion.

For the wife dinner liking the BARN insides the MacArthur Restautant on last time visiting. Look inside view at ceiling of jenga for the contractor dream. To much boards hold for the ceiling. Ouych.

WE eating at Forbes Mill Los Gatos finely beefcuts. Or THe Grill on the Ally at Fairmont SJ. Spend higher?...at AP Stump's. You have gone in those?

Not eating for Scott's, Birk's, Ruth Chris, not any other first names restaurant.

If you slipping, can eat Jersey's Cheesteaks Winchester Blvd & true habit begins at there.

Have eating some dinner at Carnelian Room. The high view costing for good dinners. And you saying on top mesaage not in SF are you sure on it?

Do seek truth in all your travels and you will never be graded, grilled, or gristled.

Bill,
If you haven't been to MacArthur Park it is definitely worth a try.

cabo,
We moved to Michigan after college - grad school for me and design school for my husband, then we stayed for my husband's career in the car industry. We've lived in MI 9 years, but we are now in the middle of a two-year stint in Stuttgart, Germany - hence my screen name!

I think Henry's in Menlo Park has closed (didn't last too long, did it?). You could try Prime on the Avenue, in Burlingame.

Oak City Bar & Grill has steaks, but it's really not a 'steak house.'

I think we are going to try Broadway Prime in Burlingame. Thanks for all of your suggestions!
