It is a bit north of Asheville (20 minutes or so) but our weimaraner loved this B & B! Our room was plush with a great king bed, TV, small refrig.

Barkwells http://www.barkwells.com/, slightly outside town, near the airport.
The cabins are spotless, new and cater to both people and dogs. No leash needed as whole area is fenced and you have your own yard behind your cabin for your dog. A lake for swimming, doggy doors, beds and bowls. Hot tubs for people. Staff is friendly and we all had a great time.
We stayed there last summer and will be back this summer!

in doing my research to find a cabin for my family when i graduated, the best pup-friendly accommodations i found were with carolina mornings (www.asheville-cabins.com is the direct link to their properties). other places offered pets but they have a ton of rentals and it makes it easier to look for the right one that lets you have your dog. good luck looking!
