St. Louis Westin or Where

Will be going to St. Louis in February for business. Interested in nice hotel that is close to sights, eats, etc. Thought maybe the Westin...just not sure if it's close to anything. Any suggestions?

Topping

It's near Busch Stadium, so yes it is near nice restaurants and the sites.

The Westin is across the street from Busch stadium.
It has a light rail terminal on its property.
It is about 6 blocks from Union Station.
Plus, it's the best hotel downtown.

westin is good for downtown, but Danielle is great if you can stay in Clayton. Able to walk to fabulous restaurants, their limo will deliver you to distant spot.

Life time resident of St. Louis here (until recently). The Hyatt is OK the lobby is pretty elaborate but the rooms, except for the top level ones are fairly average. A lot of the rooms look inwards into Union Station, which is has been renovated into a mall. We stayed in a room that looked outwards onto Market Street to watch the Thanksgiving parade. Good view of the street, but as I said, the room itself was pretty average.

On the other hand, my wife put us up at the Westin in Cupples Station, a collection of restored red brick warehouses for my birthday shortly after it opened. We enjoyed it much more than the Hyatt. They've done a great job with the place and the Metrolink light rail will have you to Union Station or to Laclede's Landing in less than 5 minutes. It's roughly central to either location.

My recommendation is definitely the Westin.

I have stayed at the Hyatt at Union Station...this past summer. Like the person before said, the lobby was pretty cool, but the rooms were definitely "average" at best. I can tell you, there is no way we would pay what they wanted us to...(something like $289/night) we got our room off of Priceline.com for like $50...no kidding. We said that it was worth that, but not much more. S

My opinion, find somewhere else for the $$...
