snorkeling in san diego
Will it be possible to go snorkeling in December (over the holidays)? Can teens go on their own or do they have to be accompanied by parents? Thanks for any help!

Does anyone know if the snorkeling operations remain open during this time of year? I figured we'd be wearing wetsuits and guess I should just contact some of the operators, but knew I'd get good advice here. Thanks for replying J_Correa.

I did a quick Yahoo search and found an outfit in La Jolla.

Looks fun and they say they go out year round.

My husband decided to go diving in San Diego. Let me preface this by stating that not only is a a Red Cross and PADI certified Rescue Diver, he is also a Dive Master.
Got caught in the red tide. Had to wear dry suits. Visibility 4 feet. Got caught in the kelp forest.
Finally said to himself and dive buddy, "we are dressed like seals in the red tide caught in a kelp forest."
Then he got bumped by a shark.
They walked on water back to shore.
I can't think of a reason to snorkel in San Diego. Water never warms up so you would be in a dry suit.
