SF Seafood Restaurand with non-fish eater
My husband would love to be go to a fabulous seafood restaurant while we are in SF. I, on the other hand, do not eat fish. Can someone recommend a place with great fish that has a wide enough menu to include something other than just the token dry chicken offering? Thanks!

Even well known seafood places like Farallon have more than just seafood on the menu, so it shouldn't be a problem. BTW you don't have to go to a seafood restaurant to get great seafood in SF, many restaurants serve excellent seafood entrees as a part of an overall menu.

Try a San Francisco classic like Boulevard or One Market.
I also don't do fish and have encountered nothing but fish menus - and I think it was Farallon. We met with friends there for drinks a short while after it had opened. Our cocktail waitress informed us that they'd just had a cancellation and we could have a table if we wanted. She then showed us menus and it was seafood from top to bottom.
At that point everyone looked at me - and they all said no at the same time. I hope things have changed there.
I have had many good meals at Aqua though.

Thanks all, especially SFImporter - picture Anthony's on the warf in Seattle when you are pregnant, nothing but fried fish everywhere! Ugh. I have been to seafood restaurants where they have a steak or chicken item on the menu but unfortunately they generally leave a lot to be desired and since we will have nowhere near enough opportunities to eat while in SF, I don't want to waste any on mediocre food!
Does anyone have a favorite Italian spot in North Beach? I'm getting hungry just reading about all the good choices!
Thanks much!
