Sedona sold out!

We are trying to find a house to rent in Sedona between Christmas and New Year's and everything seems to be sold out. Where is a good nearby alternative? We want to spend time at the Grand Canyon. We are coming from Michigan so want to stay warmer if possible. Thanks!!

What sources have you used that are sold out? By warmer do you mean warmer than Flagstaff? Do you mean a day trip to GC or longer? What other criteria apply. Flagstaff is a good choice in many ways but one cannot predict the weather in the mountains, Sedona or Flag.

We have a house in Prescott and have done easy day trips from our home there to both Sedona and the Grand Canyon. I'm not sure what VRBO or AIrBnB has listed in Prescott but it might be a good option for you and the downtown is magical during the holidays with the lights on the trees at City Hall. Great restaurants too! Good luck!

Sedona is not warm at Christmastime. The average temperature is 30.5 F that time of year.

Scottsdale or Tucson are much more mild. We prefer Tucson.

Thanks all! We had a great trip to Tucson, Flagstaff, and Scottsdale. What a great part of the country!

Thanks, kelliebellie, for the update. I'm glad you found that there is more to Arizona than Sedona.

When we pulled into Flagstaff, it was 16 degrees and 40 mph winds! But the next day was in the 30's and I really loved the little mountain town. It reminded me to get outdoors more in our snowy Michigan.
