Resturant near Soveign Bank arena in Trenton, NJ

A friend is taking her daughter to a concert there tomorrow and traveling from PA. It is her daughter's 12th birthday. Any suggestions on a nice resturant in the area - American food, but prefer not a chain resturant. Thanks!

I'm not sure what your tastes are, but KatManDu is the closest restaurant I can think of. I've never eaten there, so I can't say I recommend it. Here's the website, so you can see for yourself. http://www.katmandutrenton.com/katbody2.html

Also, there are a variety of options across the river in Yardley such as the Continental Tavern (intersection of Main St. and Afton Ave.), Charcoal, Steaks, and Things which is closer to the river (if you're driving on Main St., take a right on Afton Ave., then a right on River Road), and the Yardley Inn. Off of Route 29, in Pennington, NJ, there's a place called H.I. Ribs. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Also, you're not very far from Princeton/Lawrenceville, so you might want to look there as well. Good luck!

KATMANDU is a wonderful recommendation. Nice atmosphere, fun decorations and festive.

CLose to the arena is Trenton's famous
DeLorenzo's Pizza.

Also, you should know that the Arena is adjacent to the "Chambersburg" section of Trenton which has a large selection of amazing authentic Old World italian restaurants. Two that stand out are DIAMONDS and AMICI MILANO. You may not need reservations since its a Thursday night.

have fun.

Forget the Continental. Try the Canal Street just a block towards the river.
