I am about to get tickets for the shows Mystere, and also Siegfried & Roy ( yes I know, but I still want to see Sieg.& Roy once for myself). I am wondering what you think are the best places to seat for each show?

I don't recall a bad seat in the house at Mystere. I can't help you on Sieg and Roy...I've never seen them in all the many trips I've made...Am I missing anything??

I went to Mystere in November, it is fantastic. I would avoid the first few rows, you would be right at stage level, and looking up quite a bit. We were in the last row of the bottom level, very good seats. Have a wonderful time!

For Mystere the best seats (IMO) are 10 rows up from the stage. Some people prefer further back, as there is some stuff that happens overhead, but 10 rows back was great and i enjoyed it more than when i sat further back (i've seen the show twice, once 10 rows from the stage, the other time about 2/3 of the theater away from the stage).

I've also seen S&G, and for them the best seat is anyone OUTSIDE the theater If you must see this show yourself, then the closer the better.

I've seen the show twice - terrific. I see no reason to sit up front.

Personally, I sat twice in the upper secion,but just as you come in - not way, way up. I rally don't think there is a bad seat in the house though.

I agree with the other poster who said not to sit right up front. I also suggest you go to the first show if you tire easily. Its a long show and if you are tired, you may struggle to enjoy the final portions.

I have not gotten see "O" yet. Supposed to be really good, too.

We saw Mystere and sat in the second row and I would suggest moving back a few rows. There is so much going on and the theater is not really huge. I would never pay over 100 bucks to see those plastic cup wearing men do anything (Sig & Roy). "O" was GREAT!! Mystere was very good and worth the money but "O" was wonderful. We sat in the Balcony and I was not real happy with the seats very crowded and the theater is large. I will actually go again if we can sit on the first floor.

Siegfried & Roy is probably still one of the biggest, most extravagant of the shows in Vegas. No it is not sophisticated and cutting edge in the way that O and Mystere are, and maybe the magic isn't just overwhelming. But when all those stage effects and huge elaborately costumed chorus members are raised into the air on whirling, lighted scenery and a lion escapes into thin air directly over the heads of the audience it is still pretty overwhelming. O and Mystere are better in my opinion, but Siegried & Roy is an impressive stage show in its own right!
By the way, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the people claiming S & R is terrible have never actually seen their Las Vegas show.

I found S&R to be a hoot and it was exactly what I expected and wanted - an over the top, overly dramatized show that screams "VEGAS."

I mean, where else but Vegas can you see two aging homosexuals, that are beloved by middle America, prance around on stage with their white tigers in an attempt to chase away the evil "queen." Talk about your symbolism.

I terms of seats, the "best" seats in any Vegas show are probably held by the casino as comps for guests. In any theater though, the center is usually a decent seat.

People's aversion to Siegried and Roy reminds me of how many people screamed a number of years ago they'd never go see that horrible Liberace. But people who missed a perfomance by him, missed showmanship that may never exist again. The closing of Siegried and Roy's show will be the end of an era as well.

Siegfried and Roy is like the 1970's LEISURE SUIT.
It was 'snazzy' in its day.
Thankfully, that day has almost passed and I know no one who wants it to come back.
Some things are so cheesy they only look cheesier in retrospect.
