Presidential campaign merchandise

Hi,

We are arriving on Sunday 2nd November in San Francisco for 3 days, staying at the Hilton at Fishermans warf and I'd like to get some buttons and maybe T shirts as gifts for some friends who are closely following the campaign. Does anyone know of a store that is selling merchandise or is it only available on line?

Thanks

I just returned from SF. If it is Obama merchandise you are looking for, you will have no problem finding it. There are tables set up on the sidewalks (every block, it seemed) selling many varieties of t-shirts, posters, etc.

I don't quite remember seeing any McCain stands, but maybe some SF natives know of some.

You have to BUY these things??
What ever happened to the days when they handed out these things FREE for the publicity?

Thanks lvk. Yes I am looking for Obama merchandise, so it sounds like it won't be hard to find.
John - this is all quite novel for us. In our campaigns (in Australia) there is no merchandise that I have ever seen just everyone inundated with brochures and how to vote cards.

Ah, that explains it, baysidegirl! My SO and I have gotten a couple of Obama t-shirts, a button, stickers and the like for free from MoveOn, which is a liberal political action organization. But that won't be possible for you to do!

Street vendors will be a great source, but you could also visit an actual campaign office to buy things like t-shirts, hats, bumper stickers (no, they don't give them away). Obama's SF office is:
San Francisco Office
939 Market Street
San Francisco, CA 91403
Phone: 415-670-9840
Hours: 10am - 9pm daily
You can view a map here:

Thanks NewbE for the link and info. I'd be curious just to see the campaign office if we have time.
