Place to stay in Santa Barbara or nearby area?

Hi there,
Planning a quick trip to the Santa Barbara in a couple of weeks, does anyone have recommended on places to stay? Just a comfortable and decent place. Thank you.

Do a seach on this site. There have been numerous (at least a few) posts addressing this, and your other, question.

Harbor View Inn (deluxe)
Tropicana Inn or Villa Rosa (moderate)
Orange Tree Inn (budget)

I have stayed at both The Harbor View and The Villa Rosa. BOth are very good recommendations. I LOVE The Montecito Inn, but it is much more pricey.

Hubby and I returned from a one night stay in Santa Barbara last weekend. Of the places we like, and stayed at, which is across the st. from ocean, is Fess Parker's Doubletree Hotel. Rooms are very well appointed and larger than the norm. This is a larger property than most, but certainly a very nice place to stay.

We've stayed at several places in Santa Barbara. We liked the Upham and also Fess Parkers Doubletree. We didn't like the Franciscan Inn or the West Beach Inn.

Neverland probably has space!! Sorry, when I saw Santa Barbara, that's the first thing that came into my head. I think you'll do fine with the Harbor View or Villa Rosa.
