Place for Large-ish Family Reunion Needed

For the past forty years, my very large family has spent a weekend in the poconos together. We have spent the weekend at the Raleigh, Kutschers, Fallsview, Nevele, etc. in the Catskills. Many of these have closed. These places appealed to us because they were reasonably priced, include all meals, easily accessible for the older folks (we range from newborns to 90+ year olds), a common area for talking and gathering, have activities like swimming tennis, and bingo, access to golf, and enough room for everyone.

We need about 40 rooms for 70+ people, all meals included, and not expensive (around $150/person). We usually go around father's day weekend in June. It should be in the four-state area: NY, NJ, PA, or CT, up to two-three hours from NYC.

If the Raleigh (or another catskills resort) wasn't -- for lack of better adjectives -- smelly, moldy, and run-down, we would stay there forever.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park, Colorado

Not in the area you cite, but offers what you are looking for.

Try Singer Castle on Dark Island NY. Pictures look awsome.

I called about staying the night there, $650 for the first couple and $40 for each person extra. With 70 people it should be cheap, and you get the castle for yourself.

I don't know if it's practicle, but

Have you looked at www.splitrockresort.com. It isn’t perfect, but it’s very good in many ways. Their property and the surrounding area is beautiful. It’s in the poconos 2-2 ½ hours from NYC.

Don't know how the place has held up, but we did a family reunion at Pocono Manor in Pennsylvania a few years ago. Management was very helpful in setting things up and food and service were completely acceptable. The accommodations for our mob included use of a private parlor where we could get together and a private dining room for the birthday party that was the excuse for the exercise.
They do have a website, and it still looks good.
Have a great party.
