Pittsburgh and other sites
I plan on visiting the Pittsburgh area for a weekend sometime. What is there to see in Pittsburgh? Where is the Flight 93 Memorial located in relation to the city? Also, where would be a good place to stay outside the city central to all this? I might also be interested in the Johnstown Flood Memorial. I have seen Fallingwater and Ohiopyle State Park before.

asdaven: Central to all what? Flight 93 memorial? I'm not sure I would want to stay outside the city, with so many new hotels in interesting areas.
Have you been to the Carnegie Museums? Music Hall? University district? The Strip District? Heinz History Museum? Andy Warhol Museum? Contemproary Craft museum? Frick? Schenley Park? Squirrel Hill?
What are you interested in?
I would pick a spot in the city, then visit the Flight 93 site from there.

Not the most recent, but I had a great time in Pittsburgh in July 2007. Here's my trip report: http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...rip-report.cfm

Go to Johnstown. There are two Flood Museums, one the National Park service has at the site of the dam that broke and then there is another in downtown Johnstown. In Johnstown there is also an incline plane which is fun to ride. The Flight 93 Memorial is not far from Johnstown in Somerset.
