Park City- handicapped
Hi! We have family going to Park City March 10. 3 childeren(2 have never skied) . My brother is also going and he has a neurological disease and is confined to an electric wheelchair. We want to stay somewhere that is easily accessible for skiing but also easily accessible for my brother to watch us ski, as well as get to a restaurant/coffee shop. We definitely do not want to stay in a house and be secluded. Since my brother cannot ski, he and I would like to be able to hang out in a lodge and take part in some social activities. we have never been to Park city so I do not know anything about the area. I'm hoping someone can give us a recommendation of a good hotel that will allow us to accomplish all of our needs. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi jynx,
The Marriott Mountainside is my first thought. Its right at the base of Park City Mtn Resort and one of the major chairlifts is right out front along with the bottom of some of the runs. There is also a view of several runs, including those that were used for the Olympics in 2002. There are several restaurants right at the base too. I believe access would be very good for your brother at the base area. It would also be handy for a family with kids, especially new skiers!
Hopefully it is in your price range for lodging because the properties right at the base are not inexpensive.
There are probably a couple of other good options, but this might be the best.
