Only 3 Bags with Dial 7 Car Service

Hello there. This isn't terribly important just a curiosity. I was just looking at pricing with Dial 7 from Newark to Manhattan and noticed in the quote a sedan will only accommodate 3 pieces of luggage. Since we are a family of 4 nearly grown up people, we usually have4-5 pieces all carry on size. Is that usual for a livery service? I've never seen that when arranging transportation before.

You would need larger than a sedan.

I'm not sure about Dial 7 specifically, but generally by 'pieces of luggage', car services mean checked-size.

Thanks janisj. I had just never heard of a sedan not accommodating 4 people with at least one piece of luggage each. I really just wondered if that was typical in New York. Last time we used a taxi from the airport and we were fine. Anyway it just gave me a " things that make you go hmmm" moment. I was curious as to why a livery service would be different.

You should ask whether that sedan would fit 4 people, let alone the luggage.

I haven't used a car service in NYC -- but have in London (many times), Paris, Chicago, San Francisco, and other places -- and IME they alway mean full sized suitcases when they ask about number of bags. Maybe New York is different -- hopefully one of the Dial 7 experts on here will see your post.
