Ocean City Vacation

We are taking a family vacation in a couple of weeks to OC, MD...riding bikes on the boards in the morning, looking for the best place for the family to catch an early breakfast...

There's a fun donut place (2 locations) whose name slips my mind. The word prune or plum is in the name. anyways, they custom make your donuts while you wait. YOu pick the donut, glaze, and other toppings. I dont think either location is on the boardwalk though. One is in a plaze near the boardwalk, one is farther north along the main street. Also, another brain freeze about the name. Something skillet. It's a pink stucco building and has great breaksfasts and other meals as well.) Also, not in the boardwalk vicinity, but farther north. One of our kids favorite places for meals is Big Pecker's, which is a sports bar. What is cool about BP is that outside, they have tables with gliders to sit in, and have mist machines to keep you cool. Enjoy your visit to OC.

It is the Fractured Prune. These are not your ordinary donuts. They have a website. Take a look at their specialty donuts.

Great places for dinner with a great view? Plus-we have arranged a baby sitter for one night-night entertainment suggestions please? Thanks!

An excellent breakfast place is Brass Balls. It's on the boardwalk between 11th and 12th streets. The pink and white skillet place a previous poster mentioned is called the Bayside Skillet. I think it's around 75th Street. Not a favorite of mine but a lot of people really like it.
Great dinners with a view: Fagers Fine Dining (60th street and the bay), The HObbit (80th Street and the bay), and Harrison's Harborwatch (at the inlet).
Fun night spots- Fagers (the best nightlife in OC, in my opinion), Seacrets, Fishtales.

There's no view, but we had a great seafood buffet dinner last week at Phillips Crab House on 21st St. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it.

Phillips on the Boardwalk at 13th Street serves a nice buffet breakfast (Or you can order from the menu). They have a big front porch with rockers where you can relax and watch people walk/ride the boards, or just gaze at the ocean. There is also a small area set aside on the front porch where you can dine. The dining room itself has large windows facing the ocean, and is air-conditioned.

In the evening, there is an early bird, reduced price dinner. It's a nice place to relax mid-boardwalk.

What did you think about the Nock Apartments? and how far in advance did you have to book them?

OC is a great town. We have a house in fenwick and one in Bethany Beach, DE. If you are in North Ocean City, Jimmy's Kitchen in Fenwick, DE is outstanding for breakfast. Seacrets is always a fun stop for lunch or casual dinner as well as Fishtales. Fagers has a great deck and nice bay views for fine dining or a casual meal. Fagers is also one of the best places for nightlife along with seacrets (a very diverse mixed age crowd and can get wild at night) fun to people watch. There is a great crab house in west ocean city Captain Dick's (I think). Have fun!
