North or West of Kennebunkport
I'll be spending a few days in the Kennebunkport area later this summer and am looking for different stuff to do and see. I'm very familiar with the coast from the MA border up to Portland, and spent a lot of time in Portland itself.
Any ideas for something to see or do north of Portland (up to about an hour north) or west of K'Port? (Not including Freeport outlets) I like art museums, historical buildings, festivals, natural scenery . Something good for a rainy day would be helpful (there's always one I'm up there!)

A few minutes from Freeport, is Wolf Neck Woods State Park, one of our favorite places to visit when in Maine.

For an intereting historical site, north of Portland you can check out the only active community of Shakers at Sabbath Day Lake.
