I would appreciate help with this question too. Thinking about a Friday nite stopover in AC except the hotels are way too expensive for a Friday nite. Can anyone recommend a hotel out of the city or off the boardwalk that is nice and might have a shuttle to AC and is not too expensive for a Friday nite? Also,if you drive into AC is the parking difficult/expensive or does each casino have ample parking, expensive? Which city would be better Abescon, Egg Harbor Township or Pleasantville as far as easy access to AC and decent hotels? I don't want to be in traffic too much.
Thanks

There is a Hampton Inn just not far from the city, I think it's in Pleasantville, on the highway. You may also want to check out accommodations in Ventnor, which is the next town over from AC--there are two motels and a B&B that I know of: The Surrey, The Monaco and the Carlsborugh Inn (the B&B).All are on the same island as AC and are about a mile away from the main drag. You can walk to AC on the boardwalk, which is a very pleasant thing to do. There is also a Sheraton in AC proper, near the entrance to the expwy that is not a casino--this would be nicer than the 3 places I previously mentioned. Avoid the dumpy motels just outside of AC on the highway--they are awful.

There are many motel chains in Abscon, right down the road from AC. There is the Absecon motor inn $50 for a Thurday night. Also a Hampton Inn and many others. Go to Travelocity and look for motels within 10 miles of NYC. The casinos charge $4 or $3 to park and you can transfer once. check out the new Borgata to walk around in - very nice.
The Sheraton in AC is wonderful

I live an hour from AC and visit frequently. Parking is not a problem. We are always able to park in the $2 lot at Caesers. And this is very easy to access from the AC expressway - it is right in front of you. Sorry I don't know anything about the hotels.
