Really good pizza in San Fransisco

Looking for suggestions for really good pizza in the Russian Hill area. Pizza Orgasmica, Za Pizza? Thank you.

Try chowhound.com. Lotta good SF foodies hang-out there...I'm sure you'll get an answer or three!

But in the Mission will definitely recommend Pauline's Pizza. Check it out if you haven't already. Their pesto pizza is a "slice of heaven".

Za Pizza is the best in Russian Hill, in my opinion. We order delivery from there all the time. Love the Da Vinci pizza and the Potesto (roasted red potatoes, roasted garlic and fresh pesto). The salads are wonderful too.

And while we're at it, can anyone rec a pizza place near Polk/Broadway?

We'll be at Shanghai Kelly's for the NFL Draft this Saturday and do not want to make the same mistake we did last year and just consume Guinness maybe some popcorn 6hrs.

Looks like Extreme Pizza and Amici's are nearby and deliver but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

My liver and Mrs Kal thank you in advance!

There's a pizza place right across the street (diagonally) from Kelly's. I think it's called "That's Amore," or something like that. The pizza is nothing special, but it should do the trick! There's also a take-out Mexican restaurant called Nick's Crispy Tacos located next door to the pizza place, that serves pretty good tacos and burritos.

As far as I'm concerned the best pizza is the wild mushroom California Pizza Kitchen on Van Ness, it was a wonderful discovery on the way home from the Opera house. And by the way their Tiramisu is heavenly! It's worth going out of the way just to try their Tiramisu! Much better then Garden Court's.

Thx haycat! Pizza and Mexican!
2 of my basic food groups! I recall someone bringing a taco combo plate last year and it's smelled muy bueno!

Take 2 Coronas and call me in the morning!

FA-Calif. Pizza Kitchens reminds me of my 1st trip to Chicago. I asked the concierage at the HI Merchandise Mart a good place for pizza. He drew me a map to the CPK about 1 block away!
I managed to stumble down to Lou Malnati's and the rest is history.

I would take Vicolo's Pizza on Ivy behind Symphony Hall any day of the year. You can't beat their corn meal crust pizza.

It's not in Russian Hill - it's in the Union Sq area next to the Powell St. Cable car line - but Blondie's has great greasy pizza slices when you need a quick, on-the-go bite. It's especially good for waiting in that eternal cable car queue.
