Need a great restaurant in Washington, DC

Going to DC for the weekend next week with hubby. Would like a great dinner on Saturday night. We like steak, seafood, italian. Would like something nice but not too stuffy. Please, no chain restaurants.
We can walk or cab it to anywhere in the city. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The capital grill in union station is a fun place, it is a chain, but eating great food and looking out the window at the capital is pretty cool. Less fancy but I love the Fish Market in old town alexandria, great vibe there. Plenty of place in G-town as well, a great place to stroll.

On Capitol Hill try Johnny's Half Shell
http://www.johnnyshalfshell.net/ On the same web site (same owner) Cashion's Eat Place is also good, but doesn't specialize in seafood.
Kinkeads has consistently good seafood

Black Salt on Macarthur Blvd is also a good choice. It's a bit away from downtown, but u could take a cab. http://www.blacksaltrestaurant.com/
Washingtonian magazine does a a best 100 so you could check that out. http://tinyurl.com/3yncah
enjoy DC

The 1789 in Georgetown is a great classic DC restaurant and has always been one of my favorites. But recently, I had a great dinner at Rasika, a funky Indian-fusion restaurant that was a lot of fun (www.rasikarestaurant.com).
