Maui Trip Report
Just got back from Maui for 2 wonderful weeks. We stayed at a little condo Paki Maui, very simple nice little beach with safe swimming cause there is a reef about 25 feet out not alot of beach but there was a lawn area with chairs. Did some pretty good snorkeling right there. We booked our room through hawaii connection and our car and flight through pleasant holidays. Ocean front condo. Had no problems with either so all was well. Tons of whales everywhere if anyone goes this time of year I highly recommend an ocean front, we spent allot of time looking at whales We also ate alot of our dinners in cause there was a fish market across the street, they give you all the spices and ways to cook it. To tell the truth our dinners in were much better than spening $100 bucks on dinners out. Got a safeway card so we saved money there too. Did two whale watch tours on the same boat the scotch mist it's a 50 foot sail boat not too many people on it. We did go out a few times our favorite was fish and game no view but we would watch the sunset from our room and then go to dinner after dark. We also ate at Roy's, Baisil and tomatoes and Tropicanna? in Kaanapalli the last one was our least favorite. We went to the farmers market they had right there 3 days a week strawberry papayas were the best!!!! Ok I'll keep checking back if anyone has any questions alhoa!!!!

Hi Cleo,
We are leaving for Maui a week from Saturday. We were interested in combining whale watching with a sailing trip. Could you tell me more about the Scotch Mist. How much was it and for how long? We are staying at the Whaler.

It was35 a person for a two hour trip the more wind out the better the sail. We went twice the first time it wasn't really windy enough but they still put the sails up. The second time we had great wind didn't see too many whales so the sailing was great. First trip was in the afternoon and there were 20 people second trip was at 8 am and it was only 6 of us. Nice captainI don't rememer her name but she was from Quincy california

My husband just returned from maui today and came home witth an idea of buying a 2br/1ba unit at Paki Maui. Any current details about the place appreciated. What unit were you in? Was it well maintained? What other resorts near? Is the park that is next door well used? Thanks! Babs
