Looking for bus tours or any other way to tour Niagara from New Jersey
Hi,
I am an Indian resident touring US in month of May 2017. I am planning to take a 2 Day tour to Niagara Falls from New Jersey and looking for bus tours. We are 2 families with 2 kids together. Kids are close to 3 years old.
I am looking on recommendation on Bus Tours that start from New Jersey.

I don't think That many people have taken a bus tour from New Jersey to Niagara. They
are mostly from NYC. It is a long trip and I wouldn't want to do it with children that young.
You could fly to Buffalo NY and then take a car service to NF.

I believe your best option is one of 3 daily Amtrak trains from Penn Station in New York. Each of the trains takes about 9 hours from NYP to Niagara Falls NY.
Your best option would be the Maple Leaf which leaves NYP at 7:15AM every day. The fare is $66/adult and $33/child 2-12.
The route goes through Albany and west through Rochester and Buffalo.
If you get off the train in Niagara Falls New York, you have easy access to the falls without a transfer from the airport.
Check your visa to see if you can go into Canada and return to the US.
Many people think that the Canadian side of the falls is better than the US side.
If you are in a rush to get back to New Jersey, you could fly back from Buffalo to Newark
The other 2 trains are Empire Service (10:20AM and 1:20PM) from NYP.

Amtrak to Canada is incredibly slow, adding at least 2 or 3 hours onto your trip over the time necessary to drive. Plus, it's often late. I simply can't recommend that as an option. You're better off with a bus tour, but I couldn't recommend a specific one.

You will be spending several hours on the bus (8 to 9 each direction) looking out the bus windows at highway... thats full two days of travel with small children... if you must see the Falls, either fly there, or rent a van and drive your group through the Finger Lakes for a much nicer trip...

Greetings-
You should look at STARR TOURS. This is a very reputable tour bus company that picks up from 5 locations in New Jersey.
I checked the website and they do have a trip to Niagara Falls in May.
Check it out

The land trip to Niagara Falls is ENDLESS. Taking 3 year olds is crazy! It takes a day of bus travel. People make the mistake of assuming because Niagara Falls is in the state of NY that it's near NYC. It's actually closer to Detroit Michigan! Please look at a map. You can fly to Buffalo, NY in 1 hour and visit the falls that way, but the best views of the falls are from the Canadian side. I don't know if you need a special visa as Indian citizens to go to Canada and return to the US.
