Limo LGA to Sayville: Which Company?

The situation: arriving at LGA later this year. Friend owns a home on Fire Island (Pines) and has invited us to stay over. Rather than taking the LIRR out to the ferry at Sayville it was suggested we get a limo. I have no idea if any of these companies are better than others so am asking for recs here before looking at Trip Advisor or elsewhere.

Appreciate responses.

The cost will have to be very high to seriously offset the lower price of a rental car AND the drive back and forth, the parking at the ferry dock, etc., etc.

Thanks in advance.

I can't answer the question about limos. But have you looked into flying into MacArthur airport instead of LGA?

J62, No I have not and my flights are set. This whole stay-over came about at the last minute and the ultimate destination is a hotel in mid-town Manhattan so there is no way I would have even considered a farther out airport. Thanks for your reply and suggestion nonetheless.

I'm sure it will be expensive because it's almost 50 miles to Sayville from JFK and usually takes well over an hour. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a specific company. Execucar says it costs $130 one-way, which seems about right to me for such a long trip. but I don't know if that's in a real "limo" or not. (Execucar is owned by the same company that owns Super Shuttle and operates across the country now.) There are a ton of airport limo companies on Long Island, so I suspect there are many other options, some of which may be cheaper.

I'd never rent a car for this trip by the way. You'd just need to take the Airtrain back to Jamaica station and hop on the LIRR to Sayville, then it's a quick jitney ride to the ferry from there, and at least in season jitneys meet every train.

I've chosen Luxor for the rental. Pick up and out to Sayville from LGA as I had specifically noted above and a return to mid-town the next day. Price seemed reasonable so no changing trains on the way either way and all the rest of it. Tip was included, too.

Thank you for the suggestion nonetheless.

I actually found a company and made the reservations both foe the trip from LGA to Sayville as well as the return the next day to mid-town Manhattan. I was pleased, thus far, with the service rendered since I spoke with the company over the phone as opposed to simply completing the reservations on-line. I thought the price was reasonable for what it entails.
