Las Vegas: Lance Burton or Rick Thomas?

My husband and I are wanting to see a magic show for adults while we are in Vegas. My earlier post on David Copperfield yielded not one positive response so I would like to know what everyone thinks of LB or RT. Thanks for your help!

I've heard that the Rick Thomas show is good. We were just out there last week and a friend went to the show. We went to the Penn & Teller show at Rio in October and could not stop laughing! Warning: some people don't like the dark comedy that comes with their show. The magic is incredible too!

The Rick Thomas show is very good and much cheaper than Lance Burton. When you enter the Tropicana you will see a slot machine that may give you free or two-for-one tickets to Rick Thomas. Also when you come out of his show you may see a very amusing arial act in the casino. Lance Burton performs a very elaborate magic show in a very large auditorium.

I have only seen Lance and highly recommend him. He does a family show, not sure what your definition of "show for adults" is.

As far as magic goes however, I was more than impressed.

See them both, they're highly entertaining. Especiallly if you can get 2 for 1. Or if you're not already a member of Trop's Club, I think they give you discounts for Rick Thomas when you join.

Thanks for all your replies. It helps!

placeu2: What I meant about adult is I did not want anything too childish. Thanks again!

Another great afternoon show is Mac King at Harrah's. Two-for-one tickets are sometimes available from a scantily clad woman outside the casino. Mac King is a hilarious comic who does magic.

I don't know if he is always there, but when we went to Vegas, we saw The Amazing Jonathan, and his show was great. Very, very funny! Definitely R-rated, at least. He doesn't actually do a huge amount of "magic" but he is highly entertaining.
