Invitation to trip ideas for Florida vacation in early May ?

I have a 2 week leave in late April, and would like to spend it on vacation in Florida. Previously I have visited Key West, Miami and St Augustine areas. Now I am looking for new places for my vacation where I do not need to drive around places to places. Any trip ideas are welcomed. Thanks in advance to your contribution.

Sarasota, Siesta Key, Lido Key and Long Boat Key. All accessible by public transportation.

Sarasota has many cultural events, great art galleries, great restaurants, great shopping. The neighboring keys have wonderful beaches, fun nightlife, great restaurants, etc......

If you can make it to Kennedy Space Center by April 19 you can watch Endeavor take off on its last flight. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/sh...134/index.html

It should be back for a landing on May 3.

We're just back from three weeks in Florida...would agree with places mentioned that we visited: Sarasota area, Kennedy Space Center. Sarasota does have the Ringling Museum and lots of arts activity plus the keys and beaches. We did another tour of the Space Center. Never been to Disney World as have many. We also love the state parks and manatees.

We love Naples, beautiful beaches , lots of shops & an easy drive to the Everglades. Lots of places to eat, we normally stay in a condo on the beach, lots on vrbo.com
