Inn at Perry Cabin
I thought the restaurant at the Inn at Perry Cabin was highly over rated. The food was decent but hardly spectacular and the prices are certainly more spectacular than the food.A certain air of pretension also gripped the servers.
I think there are better restaurants in St. Michael's.

I guess this isn't supposed to mean anything to those of us who have no idea where these places are. But when we come here to the US forum, all posts show up, so we have no idea what state you're even talking about.
Just a FRIENDLY hint that is always nice to include where you're talking about in a post.

The Inn at Perry Cabin used to be a Laura Ashley property but it was sold to a corporation. St Michaels is on the Miles River of the eastern shore of Maryland.
It's still a beautiful place and was featured in the movie "Wedding Crashers" but perhaps it's clinging to its past reputation and needs to be upgraded.
Another truly wonderful place that maintains its class and ambiance is the "Inn at Little Washington" and it's located out past Warrenton Va and near Skyline Drive. it's wonderful, classy, and expensive. If past stories are true, the owner used to operate Chez Auberge in Washington DC years ago.
If you're closer to Annapolis Md, then you'd be wise to stop at Northwoods (but first get a reservation) because it's probably the very best food in town for about the last 25 years. If you can stop Sunday through Thursday they have a wonderful "prix fixe" dinner.

the inn at easton is truly the best restaurant in the area. for about the same prices, it blows away perry cabin. unfortunately, the inn and restaurant are going up for sale since the owners have having marital problems. i have heard the chef will be opening a thai restaurant in the center near the new target. hopefully that will be excellent as well.
i agree that perry cabin doesn't live up to its reputation. it has changed ownership but the executive chef is still the same one that has been there for years. so i don't know what has happened. my parents had dinner there last spring and the mashed potatoes were cold and the vegetables were poorly prepared.
