I don't think you'll have trouble getting tickets when you get there. You might consider posting this question on the www.tripadvisor.com forums (on the Tennessee board) b/c there are several local experts that could probably give you a little more information. They are a helpful bunch when it comes to Memphis.

On another thread a very wise poster asked "Why do people reply to posts when they can't answer the question?"
Would this apply to a person answering about the lines in August and saying "I forget when we went" when the question was what will the lines be like in mid November?

I was there 2 weeks ago, we were there by 9:00 a.m. We didnt' have to wait to buy the tickets but we did have to wait around 30 minutes for our time slot on the shuttle bus. If you can buy them ahead of time and pretty much know what time you'll be there, then buy them. Otherwise, just try to get there early. Or I overheard workers saying that there aren't lines after 3.

I went there in mid-September a few years ago and had about a 30 minute wait. That was not November but it was after summer vacations. You'll benefit by cooler weather. Going mid-week might be the best time.
Patrick, considering your admiration for the wise person's words you might ask yourself why you replied to this post when you can't answer the question.
