Dog friendly hotel or condo in southeast Fla. for a week

Looking for a 1week rental in SE Fla. in a place near a beach (ie not in an office park) that would accept a small dog and has some outdoor space (balcony, terrace or patio)-not for the dog but for us to sit. Have looked at vrbo and some of the pet friendly booking sites but can't seem to find the right place. ~$250/night or so is budget. Any leads or even just areas/buildings to check would be appreciated. So far the closest I've found is a Fairfield Inn in Lake Worth but no outdoor space with the rooms.

Be sure to check if the nearby beaches are pet friendly. Many are not, others ban dogs in season.

What part of Southeast Florida? Does it have to be in the Palm Beach area or are you willing to be further south? Are you flying in/out or driving?

Friends have a condo in Hallandale and love it, but I have no idea if the beaches are pet-friendly -

Dogs are not permitted on area beaches in Hallandale. In Fort Lauderdale dogs are permitted only on one portion of the beach and then only during certain hours.

To answer questions
Starrs, it's meant to be a dog.
The beach doesn't have to be pet friendly.
Palm Beach area is preferable but willing to go further south for the right place. Flying.

Ebb Tide Resort in Pompano is a tired old motor court but right on the beach with lots of lounging space. They have an opening 1st week of March.

There are a number of websites that could be helpful. Have you checked out dogfriendly.com, bringfido.com or pet-friendly-hotels.com? We have always found Florida to be very dog friendly, so I'm sure you'll find something. If you want to walk your dog on a beach you'll need to check the rules. We found they sometimes changed from one year to the next.
