Disneyland Hotel -which tower?
Traveling to Disneyland for the first time with a 4 and a 2 yr. old. Decided to stay at the Disneyland hotel becuse it looks like it is more fun for the kids than GC. Which tower is the most convenient to get to the parks. Can only afford a standard room -does it matter?

I love the Disneyland Hotel. We stayed there in 2003; I used to know the names by memory. The great thing is that you have a 5 out of 6 chance of getting a nice view. The tower that you check into has one side facing the parking lot(the only bad view) and one facing the pool. The middle tower has one side facing the pool and one facing downtown disney. (DTD is the "preferred" view.) The tower that is furthest away has one side facing CA/Paradise Pier and one side facing the pool. The pool side of the furthest tower also faces a nice water feature.
Here is my advice, to take all the worry out: Before you check in, go straight through the glass doors into the pool/garden area. It will only take you about 5 minutes to make a loop around and get the lay of the land. You will then get a good idea of what tower to request.

I stayed at the Dinsneyland Hotel earlier this year. When you pull into the main drive where you can park your car while you register (that's the tower I would recommend), so I'm guessing its the tower with the front desk. When you come down from your room, you go out the back glass doors by the pool and you are right there in downtown Disney.
