Charleston, SC Anniversary Dinner

We are going to Charleston next week (April 1-6, 2013) and I'm trying to decide where to eat for our anniversary dinner.

So far I'm thinking Magnolias or McCrady's. We are both gluten free and seems both would be able to accommodate. Also, more interested in seafood than steak since we can get steak anywhere anytime at home (Kansas) and prefer grassfed anyway.

Any suggestions for anniversary dinner?

Magnolias would be a wonderful choice!

Both are great. Magnolia's is more traditional lowcountry while McCrady's is molecular gastronomy.

Just curious about the comment that McCrady's is molecular gastronomy..their menu looks pretty straightforward farm-to-table....but maybe I am missing something as I have not been..but would like to visit soon!!

Oh yeah, they are farm to table but the preparations are more unusual. I wish I could describe it better! I moved all weekend and brain is mush.

Do go if you get the chance. I like it better than Husk. Take your credit card

My favorite farm to table is FIG. The new place opened by the same chef, Mike Lata, is the Ordinary. Bot are really wonderful.
