Cape Cod in early April
DH, DD & I will be in Hyannis for a skating competition from April 8-14. We will have some down time and wonder what types of tourist places will be open that time of year. We have been on the Cape in the summer but figure the beach will not be a good option in early April. We have been in Boston a few times, so prefer to stay closer to the Cape.

Not much, actually, if you mean stuff like miniature golf. You might get a walk on the beach if it isn't too windy, but it won't be warm enough to go into the water until late May ( or July!).
6A on the north side of the Cape is a pretty ride from Sandwich to Brewster, and you are more likely to find things open than on the road from Hyannis toward Chatham. From Mashpee to Falmouth town a lot of places serve the year round population, and the back roads heading north from there toward Bourne are pretty.
Depending on her age, she may be perfectly happy in the motel pool and at Cape Cod Mall, especially if that is what her friends want to do.
If they need to load calories, there is a Brazilian grill on Main Street which has a buffet at lunch but grilled meat on long skewers at night. There are lots of Brazilians in Hyannis, and they go there for occasions. Cooke's Seafood, on Iyanough Road, reopen s in late March and is absolutely reliable.

If you get out to Provincetown, there will be some shops etc. open. I always love to explore the beaches if it is sunny even if it is cool. You can park in places that are not open to everyone in the summer and it is fun to explore, look for whales, seals etc. The visitor's center at the National seashore in Eastham will be open and is worth a visit.
