Best Atlanta Airport Hotel
We will be spending 1 night near or in, if that is an option, at the Atlanta airport prior to a 6 a.m. flight. Which hotel for the best restaurant? Does. a sky train pass near any and if so which?

In October, a friend and I stayed at the Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport North (in East Point, GA). The rooms were comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating (we had an early morning flight and had to leave before breakfast was served, so the desk clerk brought boxed breakfasts up to the room for us, they had a shuttle from the hotel to the airport, and the rate was surprisingly reasonable~about $100 including taxes and fees. I would certainly stay there again.
I'm not sure if that hotel had a restaurant as we had a late check-in and had already eaten, but the desk clerk got me a glass of wine.

My favorite is probably the Renaissance and their food is better than most hotel food. It's an easy shuttle ride to the airport. If you want to be on the sky train, your options are the two Gateway hotels - the Marriott and the Spring Hill Suites. They are across the street from one another so either will work. I've eaten at the Marriott in the last month and the food was really good.

Thanks, starrs. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. We will be at the Renaissance tomorrow night hopefully. Having weather issues in Louisiana but should be ok tomorrow. Atlanta not too good either but getting better.
