Bereford Arms Input

Sorry, one more question. Does anyone have any input on the Bereford Arms. We made reservations on a friend's recommendation but can't find it listed in any travel guides. Thank you!

Hi. We stayed here in 1995. A group of about 12 of us. Rooms were nice sizes, and clean. Would stay there again. Some rooms were jr suites, which were very handy with kitchenette. Check out Trip Advisor for opinions, and also do a search on this website.

The Beresford Arms is nice. Stayed there about 5 years ago. The rooms were big for an older hotel. The staff is great. We happened to mention that it was our anniversary and they sent up a bottle of champgne and chocolates, very nice. The hotel is kinda on the edge of the Tenderloin but it felt perfectly safe.

Friends who live in SF always reserve there for their visiting parents. They were just here last weekend and continue to enjoy the place. BTW, the parents are in their 70's so safety is OK.

I believe the Beresford Arms is on Post Street near Jones. It is close to Union Square, and as far as being close to the Tenderloin (undesirable S.F. neighborhood), it's o.k. Just remember if you want to walk to Market Street, walke EAST on Post to Powell and then take a right turn to the south. Don't just walk straight south to Market. I am regularly in the area of the Beresford and have never felt unsafe.
Look up the reviews on Tripadvisor.com - the Beresford seems to be popular.
