Belleair Beach Anyone?
Our family of four will be traveling to Belleair Beach in August. We are staying in an eight unit complex, ground floor that we rented from gulfcoastrentals.com.
Has anyone been to Belleair Beach? I visited Bradenton Beach last year, but know absolutely nothing about Belleair Beach.
Thanks in Advance

Belleair Beach is just south of Clearwater Beach and several miles north of Treasure Island. As already stated, it's more residential than many of the beach areas. The beach there is nice, as are most all of the Gulf Coast beaches. I've been there several times because I live in St Pete Beach. I don't think you'll be disappointed, and I hope you won't encounter the unstated "H" word. Good luck.

Heat? Humidity?
Belleair is a very upscale area. It is nicely sanitized and pleasant. Beautiful area, really pretty beaches, very residential not alot of shabby beach chic. Your best restaurants will be elsewhere. Be thinking trips to eat so you can get more local color and honest to goodness cooking. There's a beach trolley that goes along the beach but I don't know what happens in your area because it's a dead end there. Look into it, might be fun for the kids.
Go to Larry's in St. Pete Beach some night for ice cream, well worth the trip.

It is a nice setting, but isn't Belleair Beach the town where two lady tourists were arrested awhile back for drinking coffee in plastic cups on the beach? There is some ordinance that was enforced, the implication being that bringing disposables to the beach was letting in the riffraff...anyone remember this story?

Thanks everyone for the responses. I'd heard there wasnt a whole lot of excitement in Bellair Beach. I'm thinking I did read that the trolley does come past there.
I'll be sure and leave my plastic cups at home, and pray there's no H...
