Bachelor Party in Chicago - Clean

Anyone have any ideas on some fun things to do for a bachelor party in Chicago (that don't involve a strip club, etc.)? We are planning on taking in a White Sox game in the early afternoon, but does anyone have any other ideas for the rest of the day?

Thanks!

If the game is on a weekday, you can check out the Harold Washington Library afterwards. It's the largest public library building in the world. They're open until 7:00 Mon.-Thurs. Take the red line to the Jackson Station.

Cubs game. Steak dinner at Gibsons. Cycling, running, blading or beach volleyball along the Lake paths.

There are plenty of sports bars, pubs, and all around fun drinking establishments for 'the guys' if you want to have a Bachelor Party that don't involve some of the aspects of Bachelor Parties you guys are not looking for. I would suggest perhaps going to a comedy show and out for a few drinks afterwards. Second City or ImprovOlympic are choices to consider.

After the game, I'd head to either a big Italian dinner on Taylor St. (Tuscany is a lound place that won't mind a crowd) or a steak dinner at Gibsons or various other steakhouses. Near Gibsons are a ton of bars of all different types depending on your taste-sports bars, hang out bars, etc. What is your preference?

There's a venue which both of my sons have used at different times. It consists of a gigantic hall where you ride on these contraptions and hit balls (sort of like indoor polo) into areas where teams score points.

You eat and drink at the same time.

It's competitive and used for bachelor party's constantly. It and paint ball games are favorites (with the dinner/drink to follow), and depending on weather months they either go indoor or outdoor to the big paint ball venues/fields in several areas around us for outdoor bachelor parties, as well.

The riding one I am thinking of is on the Near North side.

If you go to the White Sox, you may REALLY get into it and go to Punchinello's or any of the other bar scenes re 31st/Princeton etc.- there are a whole row of cafe/bar/music etc. establishments right along there now. They were crowded the Tuesday night I was there after the 20-6 game last month.

Another good choice and it's all over and used for bachelor parties is LASER QUEST or Laser Tag. There is a large one in Roselle, Downers Grove and many other spots. Google it, if interested.

I'll talk to my son and look here for the post on the name of the big Scoosball (or some such name, my mind has lost it) where they have such a great time at bachelor parties on the North side.

I just was going to post whirlyball, swalter. I just got off the phone with him, had to call for another reason anyway. He's been my legs/driver for elderly relatives for two weeks and today, as well.

He says its $$ but the best bach party ever. He also says Jimbo's is the best bar dive near U.S. Cellular and well worth a visit. He should know, he accidently broke a table there just last month and he said THEY appoligized to HIM because the leg had been "going". Italian food there for the most part.

No help for Chicago but I just had my 'clean' bachelor party in SF this past weekend. It was a great night and alot of fun.

SF Giants game, poker, steak, bars & cocktails.

Have fun!

Perhaps look into Dave & Buster's? Or golfing at the Waveland golf course along the lake...
