Aspen in mid-September

I am headed to Aspen next week and want some fashion tips and chilly weather clothing advice. Evening temps are to range from 35 to 40 F for the low!!! Yikes.....and 60's and 70's during the day. Do I still wear my summer tops and just wear cute cardigans over them for evening? I don't want to start dressing like it's fall but I don't want to freeze to death either.

We plan to do dinners at trendy places and sit at the bar and hopefully find some live music to enjoy after dinner. Day time is all for biking and hiking.

I tend to be on the dressier side of casual so that is where I am most comfortable. Sandals? Dressy Clogs? Mules? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would think with temps of 35-40 F, you'd want to wear a coat over your top and cardigan, and just ditch it when you get where you're going. That's pretty cold.

Oh yes...I will have outer wear for sure. A light quilted jacket in a light color for evening and a zip fleece under it if it's really cold;...plus light gloves...we will be walking a lot I think....I was asking more about fashion and what ladies wear there this time of year. I have never been!
