access to mirage pool?

access to mirage pool?
Have a big group going to Vegas for our wedding in November. Half the group is staying at Mirage, but my sister and her two kids are staying at Treasure Island to save some $. My question is - since I will be at the Mirage and will have a room key, if I take my neice & nephew to the Mirage pool with me can they get in? I know this is not an ideal situation, and I would totally not try it if we were all staying at TI. However, we are booking 6 rooms at Mirage and only 2 at TI and I hate for my neice & nephew to miss out on the better pool. Anyone know the rules and how strict they are at Mirage? Thanks!

Call the hotel and ask. It seems like a reasonable request to me.
Maybe they have a day rate for pool use and will waive this for you.
BTW, It would really set the kids a bad example to try to sneak them in so I'd check.

I would never even think to ask permission as a paying guest. I have had friends visit me as my guest at a couple of high end hotels in Hawaii. The waitstaff enjoyed the tips.
That said, it would be nice to walk in knowing that not only your niece and nephew would be welcome to join you for lunch, but also their parents. I would call the concierge on an off peak hour and ask, explaining the 6 rooms and the family would like enjoy some time having drinks and snacks and being together at the pool......etc. Confirm with them on the hotel's procedures in welcoming guests. With six rooms booked, welcoming the whole party and 2-4 additional guest would be good for pool service. They'd be foolish to risk losing the whole party. And tip pool service a little extra!
Also, not sure about Mirage, but perhaps you could rent a cabana for the day. I hate that crazy rental fee, but if you are spending the day rather than a few hours at the pool, and can be really fun to have a special place for people to meet.

They are strict and scan a room key. You can always have everyone staying @ Mirage go to the pool. You grab 2 extra room keys from those people already in the pool area, exit the pool with the keys in yourpocket. Find your niece and nephew and hand them the 2 extra keys and then go back into the pool. I've never done this though, I'm just sayin' 
Park Place properties used to grant universal pool access to Park Place guests. With all the buyouts, I don't know if Mirage and TI are linked or if they have such a policy. You used to be able to stay at Bally's and use the Caesars pool.
