A weekend away from home

Me (16 years old) my mom and dad. Are trying to think of a weekend get away for 2 nights but are not sure where to go. We want the place to be within driving distance (2-5 hrs away). We live in Fairfield county in Connecticut. Looking for beachs, nice weather, fishing and nice restaurants. Any recommendations??

What type of fishing? Fresh water? Ocean from a party boat? Or ocean fishing from the shore or piers?

Ocean fishing either by boat or shore.

How about Cape May/Wildwood, NJ?

I was at Cape May last weekend on a fishing trip, that I got from Groupon. It was fun and they have lots of places that will take you out if you can't find a deal. You can also shore fish from the lighthouse and ferry points. I believe there are places in Wildwood too. I am going on a dolphin/whale watching trip next month in Wildwood.

Groupon is a website that offers discount deals in your area. I got the discount back in March for the fishing and dolphin/whale watching but I haven't seen anything recently. I paid $80 for 4 adults for 4 hrs of fishing. Not bad when they charge $60 pp. I wasn't sure if we would like it, as I did see another deal shortly after I booked, and now wish I got that deal too.

Wildwood also has a boardwalk if you like that kind of thing and here is a link for things to do in and around Cape May http://www.capemay.com/activities/ that might help you decide.

Thank you sassy27 I will definetly look into the groupon thing. I really wanted to go to wildwood and I talked I my parents about it but he says I'm may be too young to enjoy and that my mom and dad would be too old to enjoy. But that was number one on my list.
