4hrs layover at Miami International Airport

I am arriving to Miami international from the Caribbean on American Airlines at 11am Saturday at terminal D I think. I have a connecting flight to Europe at 3pm the same day at terminal E or F on a different airline.
Is 4hrs transit time enough to pass through immigration, customs, check in again and pass through security? I cannot miss my flight as the airline does not have another till 4 days later.

What are the busiest days and least busy days at Miami international and possibly the busiest hours?

The busiest days will be Saturday and Sunday because those are the days when the majority of cruise ships arrive and depart.

You have to remember that MIA gets some flights arriving as early as 4 AM (from points in South America) and I just left MIA on an 8:45 AM fight yesterday but the place was certainly not as busy in the morning as it would be on weekends.

Yes 4 hours is PLENTY of time.

Agree, 4 hour connecting time at MIA is MORE than enough.

thank you guys!
So from the looks of it, even on a busy day as Saturday, 4hrs layover is more than enough for me, yes.

Is Tuesday late morning a slow day to transit through Miami International?
i am inquiring for a friend who has the same itinerary as me but on Tuesday instead of Saturday

NO morning at Miami is necessarily "slow"

Have a Cuban coffee or a very good meal at Cafe Versailles during your layover.

If you're transferring in the same airport.

This is even true at Charles de Gaulle, which is a pit of despair (we made a 75-minute transfer once), so it should work in Miami.

Well yes, of course, at the same airport. No one has mentioned changing airports on this thread.
