Puno - La Paz & Buenos Aires - Montevideo

I´m planning a trip throughout Argentina, Uruguay, Peru and Bolivia and I´ve been unable to find any info on a few things: What is the approximate cost of a bus ride from Puno - La Paz? What is a reputable company to use? And does anyone know what bus company travels from Buenos Aires - Montevideo and approx price? I´ve looked at Buquebus but it´s a little costly.

Thanks for your help!

Kate, there are buses between Montevideo and Buenos Aires, but if you read another posting regarding the Argentines enviromentalist blocking illegaly the international bridges across the River Uruguay it is easy to conclude that is better to take Buquebus or any other company that takes you by boat. I know there is a very inexpensive one that joins El Tigre in Argentina with Carmelo in Uruguay, then you can take a bus to Montevideo. This is a very picturesque route saling through the Delta. Also the Buquebus offers a cheaper option if you take one of their slower boats. Also there might be other options by water. My advice is to forget the bus.

Puno - Copacabana
Copacabana - La Paz
There are several companies, they all are more or less the same. From LA PAZ take 6 de Agosoto Company or any to Oruro and from Oruro to Villazon - Argentinian border, just the train is the best...
