damedonna,

I can recommend Gabriel Blacher who was my guide in BA this July and again later in August. Gabriel is an excellent guide who is happy to work with you to ensure you get the most from your BA tour. His English is excellent and also speaks Spanish, German and Hebrew (he is Jewish). His email is [email protected]. In addition to providing guided tours, Gabriel is happy to do great walking maps that make exploring on your own very easy and pleasant at your own pace.

Happy planning,

Pol

Another excellent guide who will design the tour to your specifications is Manu Peclat. He can be reached at www.cariocawayoflife.blogspot.com.

Oops, failed to specify that Manu is in Rio. In BA, we had good experience with Monica Varela <[email protected]>.

Hi,

My Dad and I spent four days in Buenos Aires in January/February, 2010. Madi Lang of BA Cultural Concierge guided us on several tours, and was our delightful, brilliant companion for some meals and excursions.

We did not take her Buenos Aires Jewish Tour, but I do see one offered on her website's "Activities" page
( http://baculturalconcierge.com/?page_id=18 ):

City Tours

* Museums, parks, historical landmarks, tango district, antique rows, non-tourist neighborhoods,
* Architecture, out-door art, Jewish Buenos Aires tour, trendy fashion districts, markets, street fairs,
* Cycling and walking paths

Also, please check out some of Madi's interesting articles
on Buenos Aires ( from her website's "About Us" page;
http://baculturalconcierge.com/?page_id=13 ).

Here are some photos of our wonderful time with Madi Lang in beautiful Buenos Aires:

Hope this helps...

My husband and I took a full day tour with Valeria Duek [email protected], http://www.kosherlat.com/contenidos/JEWISHCITYTOUR.html. She combined the Jewish city tour with the regular must see attractions of Buenos Aires. Valeria has great knowledge of both the city and the local Jewish Community. She also helped us with the transfer to Ezeiza airport.

It was a pleasure to spend the day with her.
