Something new on the official website. It looks like they will be charging 150 Nuevo Soles if you want to do the Huayna Picchu hike. (No increase in price for just MP admission alone). You can book in advance on the website or at the offices BUT NOT AT THE MACHU PICCHU GATE.
If anyone is fluent in Spanish would like to read the following notice and confirm this?
http://www.machupicchu.gob.pe/items/Huaynapicchu.html
I'm assuming that as soon as word gets out the HP admissions will sell out on busy days this summer. Hopefully they will post some big signs near the busses so people don't go lining up at 4am get to the top and realize they are screwed!
Increased admission if you want to hike Huayna Picchu

As I'm reading it, S/150 includes both admission to MP itself and to the HP section. MP alone stays at S/126. (That may be what you're saying, and I'm not reading your intended meaning.)
Thanks for the heads-up. It starts tomorrow so I hope they have made everything clear to visitors, as you say, mlgb.
I see by the website that at about 8 p.m. Thursday night, only 145 of the 400 alloted HP tickets remain for Friday morning.
Yes, 126 for basic admission and 150 for admission including both the main site and the Huayna Picchu hike.
Haven't seen any mention of this anywhere else.
They even made Jim Carrey pay apparently...
