Homestay Spanish lessons in Medellin, Colombia

Hola,

Looking for some help to find a really good homestay in Medellin for
Spanish immersion. Meaning for staying in someones home where
only Spanish is spoken.

Any and all help from the forum is really appreciated.

www.nuevalengua.com in El Poblado best for me.

Careful many scammers best to set this up boots

on the ground not online except for schools of repute.

www.insuremytrip.com always wise

Happy Hunting,

After living in Medellin for 6 months in 2011, I'm now back to improve my Spanish. I'm back in the same great apartment I was living in during 2011. It's in El Poblado (a very nice neighbourhood) and I'm living with the owner (a Colombian lady - Lupe), her nephew and occasionally some other tenants. I can definitely recommend this house. Lupe is amazing, and it's nice and central if you're planning on taking some Spanish lessons. The food is great (breakfast and dinner are included), since Lupe lived in Germany for a while, so you'll get a nice German-Colombian fusion! (Although I'm sure she'll be all too happy to keep it local all the way if that's what you want... but arepas do get boring after a while, believe me!). Oh yes, and there's hot water! (Many houses here don't have hot water, as it's 24 degrees all year round... but I'm not sure I'm made for a cold shower every morning.)

Have a look at her website for prices etc. http://www.homestaymedellin.blogspot.com
