What do do fro a day in Cabo

We are going to be in Cabo San Lucas for one day on a cruise. Any suggestions what we should do?

What are your interests? There is good snorkeling at Pelican Rock (near Lover's Beach) - you will need to take one of the glassbottom boats to get there. For just relaxing on the beach, Medano is closest (20 minute walk along the marina or short cab ride), has calm water, restaurants, bars, watersports vendors.

Patty,

Thanks for your reply. We like beaches, pottering around towns and my husband like diving and snorkeling

An excursion that we really enjoyed was the snorkel trip thru Cabo expeditions. They use zodiac type rafts and go to two spots - Santa Maria bay and Pelican Rock. Not recommended for those with bad backs though as it is a bouncy ride.

If you just want to snorkel on your own, as I mentioned earlier, Pelican Rock is a good spot that's easy to get to. Just ask one of the glassbottom boats to drop you off and pick you up at a later time. Should cost no more than $10 roundtrip per person. You will need you own gear for this as there are no facilities on this beach.

You can also go to Santa Maria beach on your own (it's probably a 15 minute taxi ride from town) and snorkel. It's also a nice quiet beach to spend your time if you consider Medano too 'busy'.

There's a nice wide beach in front of the Finisterra hotel on the Pacific side but swimming is too dangerous here. What cruise line are you sailing on? When we went in December, Princess passengers could use the pool facilities at the Finisterra hotel.

If you want to do some shopping, the tender area is right in town within walking distance to all of the shops. Hope this helps.
