Sky Airlines - Purchase Requirements?

Hi,

I want to buy some tickets on Sky Airlines for travel within Chile. However, the website states:

"(*) Promotional fares published in chilean currency, valid only for purchase made in Chile. Z, T and R Class is exclusive purchase inside chilean territory. For purchase out of Chilean territory, please contact [email protected]"

If I purchase one of these fares from the US, will I have any problems?

Why don't you ask them by phone or by e-mail? The only way you can figure it out what does it mean...

Good luck!

I have a similar issue with Lan. When I phoned Lan's 800 line and was told that if I were to book a discounted fare from the Chilean version of lan.com I would be required to pay the difference to check in.

Yeah, skytours website is a little confusing. I am trying to book a flight from Santiago to Punta Arenas in Dec. Let me know if you figure it out.

you have to email sky airlines if you are booking from outside of Chile

[email protected]

I received an email response in one day. I was quoted $207USD from Santiago to Punta Arenas round trip

Smunky:

If you are trying to save money by purchasing as a local would, remember that when you present yourself to the airline you will in all probability have to provide a passport for identification.

That being the case, I doubt that you will get anywhere trying to save money buying as a local.

Better to check with the airline, even using a psydanome to get the truth rather than to end up with a surprise.
