Question regarding transfer time at San Jose airport
If we take Nature or Sansa from Puerto Jimenez we arrive in SJ at 12:35. Our AA flight departs at 2:25. BEST case scenario, is this enough time? I'm not familiar with size of airport, but I assume a quick deboarding from the "little" plane.

Tully is right: Take an earlier flight.
The official required check-in time for international flights is three hours. Not saying you always need that much time, but sometimes all the check-in procedures take more than two hours. Also, that perfect world would have no delays of the flight on the small plane. That's far from certain.
Also, Nature Air uses a completely different airport, about 30 minutes away from the international airport.

Sansa does use the same airport. Takes max 4 minutes to trot over from the Sansa building to the main airport. We took a chance and cut it VERY close both on arrival and departure a few weeks ago, it worked, but perhaps we were lucky. There were NO lineups at all. Could go either way, if you can catch an earlier flight and not stress it, do it.

Yes Sansa uses the same airport. But it is not like changing gates. You still have to retrieve your luggage and walk from the Sansa part over to the International airport. And still 2 hours is not leaving you enough time. Definately get an earlier flight, or plan a night in the outskirts of SJ.
I know lots of people fly in on Sansa to meet their International flight. And as much as missing a flight and HAVING to stay in CR sounds great - I still prefer a night in the SJ outlying areas for a peaceful and stressless departure.

Thanks to everyone!
I think I finally have it figured out. I was able to juggle our schedule and will now be taking the LATEST flight out of PJ, spend the night near SJO and fly out in the morning. I don't want to have to do hurdles to make my flight!
Yay!
