costa rica trip

my wife and i are going to costa rica for 8 days in late february. i have been before but when went last i did montezuma (loved it), tamrindo (just ok) and arenal (nice). this time we want to do manuel antonio and cruise the coast. we would also like to zipline, hike, explore, eat, and chill by the beach a but too.

a few questions:

can anyone recommend a good car rental place out of SJO?

good places to stay in or near manuel antonio?

is monte verde worth seeing?

how about dominical, jaco or other nice towns on the coast?

whats would be a fun week itinerary?

thanks!

For Dominical area we stayed recently in TikiVillas Lodge www.tiki-villas.com we got from a traveler report here, great little place. The Dominical area is great for beaches, nature, rainforests. We used Mapache rent a car, they had an office by the airport. Mnuel Antonio http://www.makanda.com/
is a very nice butique hotel. Have fun!

I've only been to CR once, but we are very glad we included Monteverde in the trip. We also visited Arenal and the Osa.

My interpretation of Jaco is that it would not be a place for me! I prefer less crowds and more relaxation. I've also heard very mixed things about MA. Many people say it's a must-see, but others I've talked to say it is overly crowded.

Hoping to go back in May and trying to decide on an itinerary now!
