Casa del Mar-cabo san lucas - which room?
Going to the East Cape but then just 2 days at Casa del Mar. What is the difference between the beachfront room & the luxury 1 bedroom suite? Besides size, is it worth the price. We want a few luxury days but have no intention of going into Cabo anymore, just enjoying the resort. What about dinner at Las Ventanas then? Good idea? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

We've stayed in the 1 bedroom suite twice and enjoyed it very much. It's not as confining as the oceanfront room. The restaurant at Las Ventanas is a rip-off:if you're looking for a special meal, book Pitahayas--the food is great and reasonably priced and the setting is quiet and very romantic. Have a great time!

Thank you so much for the information!<BR>I was mostly just interested to look at Las Ventanas by having dinner there but don't want to waste my money either! Can you tell me where Pitahayas is? We will have a car, but no real desire to go into Cabo San Lucas. Thanks!

Pitahayas is outside of Cabo San Lucas. It's located at the Hacienda del Mar resort, Km. 10 on Hwy. 1.<BR><BR>Fodor's review: "This elegant restaurant has found its niche in a lovely spot just above the beach at Cabo del Sol. The wide-ranging menu features Pacific Rim cuisine, blending touches of Thai, Polynesian, and Chinese cooking in unusual recipes. Lobster appears in the form of gourmet hash, duckling is served with a plum-tangerine sauce, and fresh organic vegetables are lightly stir-fried and served while still crisp. Soft jazz plays in the background, and the setting is decidedly romantic. AE, MC, V."<BR>
