Dear j:

We have stayed twice at Pueblo Bonito: Blanco, which is right in CSL and Sunset Beach, which is on the Pacific side out of town. Both are very nice. Can't give you any info on the Melia. Check out www.tripadvisor.com for more Cabo info and deals.

You do realize it will be very hot and humid in August? Make sure your hotel gets you a room with very good air conditioning.

the Cabo Hilton may be around $200 since it's low season, and it's very nice.

I just checked the Hilton website & it has rooms starting at $179 per night at the end of August. I'd stay there over the Melia.

we are looking at the pueblo bonito, didnt realize that there is so many of them (4). We have definitely decided to near downtown because dont want to deal with cabs when going out at night. Different prices bw the rose and the blanco, anyone think one is better over the other?

We stayed at the Presidente Inter Continental and loved it. It is an all inclusive hotel which we love.

We stay at Pueblo Bonito Rose for two weeks every February. It is right on Medano Beach, well air conditioned, within walking distance to many restaurants and downtown.

We also spend a week at P.B.Sunset on the Pacific side. Yes, we are timeshare owners. These timeshares we never trade, we always go to Cabo.
