bosque del cabo beach access

Hi, I will be staying at BDC in Feb 2006. Seems like an awesome place, my question is about beach access and fishing. I love to fish from the surf so I plan on doing quite a bit of it while in CR. How easy is it to get to the beach from BDC? Does anybody have experience fishing in that area? Any help would be appreciated. If access is too difficult, i may consider shortening my stay at BDC for a place with better fishing access. Thank you.

2 trails to the Beach, Pacific to the pacific side. Golfo Dulce to the golf side. You can walk to either, Pacific is about a 20 to 30 min hike, Golfo dulce 1 to1\12 hr trek. You can arrange a ride to and from for that trail. Please see my Bosque trip report, long and detailed re:bosque. Listed as "Bosque del cabo trip report" and
re-posted as "Costa Rica trip report".

For better info regarding your interest in fishing, you might should contact BdC and ask them specifically about fishing while there.

UE, ask the owner of BDC to give you a ride down to the Gulf side where he surfs. I fished off the rocks with little success. I did not surf fish the Pacific side. We did take a panga out on the pacific however and did quite well for yellowtail and some other stuff, which the cook made into wonderful sashimi/sushi for the entire camp. They even had wasabi there. This was about 7 years ago and the cost was about $150 for three of us. We ran into hundreds of spinner dolphins who swam with us jumping. The owner will take care of you.
